Simone Samali,
M.Sc. Med (S.R.H)., B. Nursing
With over 25 years of experience as a registered nurse, I have dedicated my career to helping others through compassionate and competent healthcare. For the past 17 years, I have also served as the sole registered nurse and manager of a private urology practice, overseeing all aspects of patient care and staff management. This experience saw me deal with so much anguish towards the concern of a possible altered ‘normal’ sexual function because of cancer diagnosis and management. Consequently, I found myself completing my master’s at Sydney University. Throughout my career, I have been committed to staying up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and technologies, and I take pride in providing the highest level of care possible to each and every patient.
I have a strong passion for understanding and helping individuals struggling with erectile dysfunction. Through extensive research and education, I strive to provide valuable information, support, and guidance to enhance their quality of life and foster open conversations surrounding this sensitive topic.
My Mission
As a psychosexual therapist with a background as a registered nurse, I can provide comprehensive and patient-centred care to individuals and couples experiencing sexual health concerns. I will be integrating my clinical knowledge in nursing with evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions to provide a unique and all-inclusive approach to treatment. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore the emotional and psychological factors contributing to their sexual concerns and the physical aspects of their condition. The goal is to help clients better understand their condition, manage symptoms, and improve their sexual functioning and overall quality of life. I am dedicated to staying up-to-date on the latest research and treatment options in the field of urology and psychosexual therapy, and to providing clients with the highest quality of care possible. As a therapist, I am dedicated to empowering clients to take an active role in their own sexual health and supporting them throughout their journey towards greater sexual satisfaction and intimacy.
My Vision
Is to see individuals and couples overcome the sexual challenges that arise from cancer treatments. I envision a world where everyone affected by cancer can access the care and support, they need to achieve sexual health and well-being. My aim is to be at the forefront of research and treatment for post-cancer erectile dysfunction, using evidence-based interventions to improve sexual functioning and overall quality of life for my clients. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their concerns, develop strategies for coping with their condition, and feel empowered to take an active role in their own sexual health. I envision a future where individuals and couples affected by post-cancer erectile dysfunction have access to timely and effective care that addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of their condition. I am committed to working collaboratively with healthcare providers and researchers to develop innovative and effective treatments for post-cancer erectile dysfunction, and to advancing the field of psychosexual therapy to better meet the needs of our clients.
